Low elevation is represented by the color green. In Nevada, the two areas of relative low elevation are the southern tip, which includes most of the Las Vegas metro area, Lake Mead, and the Colorado River, and the valleys in northwest Nevada.
Mid-level elevation is colored with yellow, orange, and reddish pink. These warm colored mid-elevation areas are found throughout the state of Nevada. Most of the valley areas between the many mountain ranges are in this range, as is much of the western population centers around Lake Tahoe including Carson City and Reno.

Boundary Peak has en elevation of 4007 meters or 13,147 feet.
